Dr. Jacobs graduated from Davidson College in Charlotte, medical school at Medical University of South Carolina, and trained in general, vascular, surgical and cosmetic dermatology in Pittsburgh. He has been in private practice since 1983. He was one of the first surgeons in the Southeast to perform laparoscopic hiatal hernia repairs and stomach operations as well  gallbladder surgery and the Trivex varicose vein operation. He has lectured at the Medical University of Georgia in Laser surgery and was one of the first physicians to own an in-office laser in Charleston. He has over 22 years of laser experience. He has been recognized many times in Who’s Who in America. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been board certified for over twenty years until beginning an office-based practice in 2003. His life’s passion is to live and work for the Kingdom of God and to bring peace among  people of all walks of life. His practice focus is to treat the whole person: body, mind and spirit.  Dr. Jacobs finds humor to be a great adjunct to the healing, and sometimes unsettling, treatment process.
