Melissa E. Loeffler is a board certified physician assistant who holds licenses to practice in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Originally from Daytona Beach, FL, she graduated from FR Lopez High School, Summa Cum Laude.
She graduated with honors from University of Florida with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Zoology. Melissa was a member of premed American Medical Student Association (AMSA), Pre-professional Service Organization (PSO), Golden Key National Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She spent three years as a camp counselor for the Florida Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes.
After graduation, Melissa spent two years as a nursing and medical assistant in Cardiology and Endocrinology. She enrolled at the University of Florida for her graduate education and received a Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies in 2005.
Melissa worked as a Physicians’ Assistant for Wake Dermatology in Raleigh, NC then relocated to Charleston, SC to join the Cosmetic and Surgical Dermatology Practice.
Melissa is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and South Carolina of Physician Assistants of Dermatology.
