Treadmills

The two most popular forms of exercise are walking and running.  Both have proven to be a great way of getting a cardiovascular workout.  Treadmills can accommodate both walkers and runners while adding benefits that couldn't normally be achieved outdoors.  Treadmills allow for a controlled workout inside while avoiding inclement weather and dangerous traffic conditions that exist outside. 

Treadmills have also shown to be easier on your joints than walking or running outdoors.  Newer technology has greatly improved the shock absorption potential in treadmills.  Therefore, treadmills are designed to be easier on your body and decreasing the likelihood of injuries. 

Treadmills have also become more versatile as technology advances.  For example, some treadmills will automatically adjust the workout intensity to accommodate where the user has set their heart-rate goal to be.  The treadmill will evaluate the user's heart-rate and adjust the incline and/or speed to obtain the heart-rate goal.  Most treadmills will have a variety of other programmed courses such as; interval programs, hill, random, mountain, distance/calorie goals, and custom user programs.
