We can schedule a convenient time for one of our furniture Evaluators to come to your home to see the items you wish to sell. Or you may bring items directly to either of our stores for evaluation.
Finders Keepers is the easy, safe, and hassle-free way to sell items you no longer need. Whether you have one item, a room full, or an entire house full, it is the easy way to recycle items in a manner that gives you a high return with the least amount of effort on your part.
When you call us, we will ask a few questions such as: is the item or items in excellent condition? Do you know the brand name? How old is the item or items? Color of upholstery? Etc. Our Appointment Coordinator can then schedule an appointment.
Upon viewing your items, we will give you an idea of what price we believe each item will sell for in one of our stores based on past experience. The asking price is established only after we pool both your knowledge of each item and our expertise of selling similar items. Upon agreement on price, items are placed in our showroom in room arrangements with complimentary pieces to show them at their best. It is the very best way for us to obtain the maximum amount for your items.
We offer free pick up of your items within our operating area. After your items sell, we will mail you a check for 50% of the actual selling price along with a detailed computerized statement showing each item sold and the amount.
Because of upscale retail store environment, in most cases, we are able to realize more for your items than you could do on your own and there is the real value of your time, safety, and privacy.
Bring items to consign to either of our stores between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
If you cannot bring the items to us, call our Appointment Coordinator to schedule a time for a free in home evaluation and pick up by calling 615-851-5915 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Questions and Answers:
Q - How long does it take to sell items at Finders Keepers?
A - Most items sell within three weeks.
Q - Will you reduce the price of my items after a certain timeframe?
A - Statistically, over 90% of items sell at the full agreed upon price within the first month. If any item does not sell within this period, it will automatically be reduced to facilitate a sale. We find that the only items that reach this price reduction period are those that were overpriced to start.
Q - Can you pick up my items when you come to my home to evaluate them?
A - Yes, if we agree on the asking price. The Evaluator will have a helper in his truck to help him load any items you wish to consign. Most folks like the convenience of a quick and easy pick up.
Q - Is there much paperwork involved in consigning items?
A - We fill out a simple one-page agreement form, which lists your items, the prices, and terms and give you a copy for your records at the time of pick up.
Q - Do certain items sell better at one store than another?
A - Both stores have upscale showrooms and we find that all items sell equally well at both store locations.
Q - Can I consign items if I am moving out of the country?
A - Yes, we regularly mail checks to all fifty states and many foreign countries.
Q - Will you buy my items outright?
A - Yes, you will receive more if you consign them, but we will mail you a check immediately at a reduced percentage if you prefer to just sell the items to us.
Q - Do you offer free delivery to your customers?
A - Our already low prices prevent us from offering free delivery, but we do offer delivery at rates less than other furniture stores.
Q - Do you accept credit cards for purchases?
A - Yes. We strive to make it as easy as possible for customers to buy items at Finders Keepers. We accept cash, checks, American Express, DiscoverCard, MasterCard, Visa, and offer 90 days same-as-cash as well as long-term financing.
Q - Do you sell antiques?
A - Yes, our customers love antiques.
Q - Do you repair furniture?
A - Furniture needs to be clean and in excellent condition before we can accept it on consignment.
Q - I have a twenty-year-old sofa in perfect condition that no one ever sits on. Will you sell it for me?
A - We probably would not be able to help you with this one. Styles change often, especially sofas, loveseats, and armchairs and the market for styles from that age are very small.
Q - Can I trust Finders Keepers?
A - Yes, Finders Keepers is an active member of the Better Business Bureau and the National Home Furnishings Association. We take great pride in striving to treat all consignors, customers, and employees, as we would want to be treated.
